And yes, as a global conflict between red and blue factions that each control roughly half of the world and employs color-coded mercenaries with various appearances and weapons, I was indeed inspired by Team Fortress. However, I was ALSO inspired by Saber-Scorpion's Nova Refuge series, and the eternal rivalry between Xarkon and Victory. However, RMC and BSH differ from both in that, unlike the Team Fortress factions they are somewhat corrupt but still overall sympathetic rather than a collection of psychopaths, lunatics, and thugs, and unlike the Nova Refuge factions they are not formal governments. I did use some Xarkon and Victory decals for them though.
