As the Combine Overwatch and their allies continue to attack those in defiance, many innocents begin to feel the hardships of the war. The battle of Savanah was one of several surprise attacks the Combine Overwatch committed against America, which was the country leading the Resistance movement against the Combine. The attack was so sudden and caused the entire state of Georgia to go under Marshal Law. As the United States Army desperately tried to retake the city, many evacuation checkpoints were set up to evacuate civilians, as Imperial, CIS, Skynet, BLU Robot, and Combine forces were indiscriminately attacking civilians. A group of 4 civilians managed to gather up some weapons and fight their way to an evacuation checkpoint. Upon arriving at the checkpoint, the civilians believed that they would get out of the city alright. They were wrong. As a U.S Soldier ushered the survivors to the evacuation Helicopter, an Imperial gunship came out of nowhere and fired a barrage of lasers at the helicopter, destroying it. With no way to escape, the survivors and the lone U.S Soldier stood together as the gunship began to unload Stormtroopers, Battle droids, and Civil Protection officers. Together, Coach, Ryan, Rochelle, Nick, and Ellis readied their weapons. If they were going down, they would go down fighting
