The June 7th Counterattack

"It had been 1 day since we took Omaha beach, and scored a major victory for the Allied Powers, Rebel Alliance, and Republic Remnant. Starkiller's apprentice was dead, and the Mecha Deathshead was destroyed, and the Omaha beach stronghold was in ruins. As for Starkiller himself, he reluctantly followed the retreat order when it was given. But he promised both Mevenn, and Kit Fisto that they would meet again. While I do feel proud that I was part of the attack force that made Starkiller retreat, just knowing that he was still out there was still concerning. But no matter, we won. The Normandy landing was surprisingly successful, and we (The Rebel Alliance, Republic Remnant, and Allied Powers) could use the beaches of Normandy as a staging ground. However our victory was short lived. Turns out, The Axis Powers, and Galctic Empire thought of a contingency plan in the event Operation: Overlord was successful. The CIS would launch a massive counterattack the very next day. They would be coming from air, by ground, and even upon the shores where we landed one day ago. We were surrounded. We found out about the attack when searching through the ruins of the Omaha beach stronghold. Upon discovering about this contingency plan, we came up with a plan that we hoped would salvage the liberation of France. Kit Fisto, Commander Rumble, and a single squad of Clones and Rebels would lead the Allied soldiers in a Northeastern Direction, away from the beaches of Normandy. Sure, they would encounter a few droids, Stormtroopers, and Nazis here and there, but it would be nothing compared to the counterattack force. We also had to evacuate the Wounded. Many of them were loaded onto Republic Gunships and U-Wings. When morning broke, I stood on the beaches along with Cal Kestis, Master Mevenn, Captain Redjaw, and Captain Tukk. Ready to defend the beach we had just taken. Already Omaha beach was a graveyard, littered with the remains of many dead American soldiers, Clone Troopers, Rebel Soldiers, Droids, Nazi soldiers, and Stormtroopers, along with the wreckages of many vehicles. We didn't want to join them, but the situation looked bleak. If this was going to be our final stand, then we were going to make sure the CIS, The Empire, and the Nazis remember it..."













This scenario of my World History alternate timeline is dedicated to the Allied soldiers who gave their lives on this day who stopped an evil that threatened to swallow the entire world. They will never be forgotten.
