Strafing Run

"The longest day began when our ariel forces began a Strafing run on the beaches. While they did take out several tanks, turrets, infantry, etc. There would still be plenty waiting for us...."

On June 6th, 1944, in the early hours of the morning, ariel forces of the Allied forces, the Rebel Alliance, and the Republic Remnant were sent in to attack the Axis defenses set up on the beaches of Normandy. X-Wings, Y-Wings, V-Wings, ARC-170s, Z-95 Headhunters, A-Wings, P-470s, B-17 Bombers, Spitfires, P-51 Mustangs, USAAF Thunderbolts, Havocs, and Marauders threw everything they had at the beaches. But at the same time, TIE Fighters, Vulture Droids, TIE Interceptors, Droid Tri-Fighters, BF 109s, Ju 88 A-1s, TIE Hunters, and TIE Strikers took off to intercept the strafing run. Many planes and fighters belonging to the Allies, Rebels, Republic Remnant, Empire, CIS, and Axis were shot down.
