Skirmish at New York

MONARCH REPORT: As King Ghidorah woke up every Kaiju on planet earth after defeating Godzilla at Isla de mara, one of the Kaiju that supposedly (Through ancient texts) swore loyalty to Ghidorah when he first landed on planet earth in [DATA EXPUNGED] B.C, named "Knifehead" rose from his resting place in the Atlantic Ocean. After destroying the Monarch research drones that were near his resting site, Knifehead began to march towards New York City. At that time, much of the East Coast of the United States was in ruins after King Ghidorah and Rodan attacked Washington D.C, "Onibaba" attacking Raleigh, North Carolina, "Cloverfield" attacking Newark, Delaware, the "Queen Muto" attacking Hobooken, New Jersey, and Gyaos attacking Miami, Florida. However (At the time), the city of New York City was untouched. Because of this, authorities placed the city on Lockdown. Soldiers of the United States and United Nations, and Members of the National Guard, Resistance, and New Republic set up defenses throughout the city. However, half of the defenses were set up surrounding the United Nations building. This was done to provide additional protection to prevent the underground chambers from being breached, where Project: Kiryu was being built and "The Original" was kept. Several World leaders, including President Donald Trump demanded Project: Kiryu to be deployed, but because Project: Kiryu was not even 1/4 completed, the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, did not order the deployment of Project: Kiryu. As many feared, Knifehead began to approach New York City. It is theorized that Knifehead came to New York city as he was attracted by the Framework used for Project: Kiryu. However, it is unknown why other Kaiju were not attracted. Many Monarch researchers believe that King Ghidorah strategically coordinated Kaiju attacks across planet Earth. Before Knifehead could begin his attack on New York city, a Orange Fireball struck him from behind that came from the sky. Suddenly another Kaiju appeared in the Sky, which was quickly identified by Monarch as Gamera (A Kaiju many Monarch researches have debated the existence of). According to ancient texts and scriptures, Gamera is said to be a benevolent Kaiju. Because of this, Monarch Command ordered the soldiers defending New York city to not attack Gamera. But as expected, many did not comply with this order. But as Gamera fought Knifehead, he proved that he was not here to attack, but to protect. Gamera eventually overpowered Knifhead, but before Gamera could finish off Knifehead, Knifehead escaped. Around the same time, King Ghidorah was both defeated and killed. Gamera took one look at New York city, before he took off, where he later met up with Godzilla in Boston. Because of Gamera's intervention, many lives were saved, but approximately 400 people died in Knifehead's attack. It is unknown why Gamera intercepted Knifehead, but it is theorized that Gamera knew about the Framework used for Project: Kiryu.

Closing Notes: The existence of Project: Kiryu and "The Original" should remain classified until the completion of Project: Kiryu. At the same time, more Kaiju-Sized Weapons should be constructed. Proposals; Project: Jet Jaguar, Project: Moguera, and Project: Jaeger
