Description
Built in 1907, this engine is one of 150 Prairie-Type Locomotives owned by the Northern Pacific Railroad. These engines were used for light freight service and switching duties on branch lines. Around 1928, the Northern Pacific began to scrap the Prairie locomotives until WW2, when increase of wartime traffic set in. But after WW2, the 28 remaining Prairie locomotives were retired. 2435 ran approximately 1,680,000 miles during it's service life.
