Great Northern Diner No. 1250

Nicknamed Lake of the Isles, it was built in 1951 for the Great Northern's Empire Builder route. Originally the car had 36 seats, but in 1961, it was modified with 44 seats. 10 years later, the car was leased to Amtrak. The car was later donated to the Lake Superior Railroad Museum in 1976 by the Burlington Northern. In 2020, the museum completed an overhaul of the coach, such as repainting the roof and wheels, new carpeting, and installation of LED lights.
