Whamcomics-summer

The Black Lion was a golden-age hero who appeared in Wham Comics. He was  white as were most heroes of the 1940's. He also had a sidekick called Cub. I added Wham Comics to the roster of Maple Leaf Comics. Since in the early 1970's comics started to add more diverse heroes it seemed appropriate that The Black Lion would re-emerge as a black character.  I tried to create a 70's looking cover. The original Black Lion wore all black with a red lion face on his chest. That is why the lion image is red on the cover.
