During WW2 Double A Comics was one of the bigger Canadian comic companies. They mostly printed re-drawn Captain Marvel and Captain Marvel jr. stories. They also had some original characters such as Freelance, Commander Steel and Dr. Destine. 
The Captain Marvel stories were printed in black and white and the covers were usually just printed with one dominant colour. The cover may be all red or all blue and sometimes Cap. was coloured in a red uniform or even a gray uniform. 
There was also a Captain Marvel movie serial were the actual costume was gray. Red photographs too dark in black and white. So I decided to make the uniform gray.
Commander Steel's stories were printed in colour and he is a super strong cop for a United Nations organization. Originally his front logo was a raised arm holding a set of scales (justice). Tried to think of a good redesign but it looked very busy, so I changed it to a simple S.
