Description
The Duke of Darkness was a murdered cop who arose from the grave to deal justice to criminals. If that also sounds like The Spectre it was probadly intentional. Both chatacters were co-created by Bernard Baily. A Golden-age artist, writer and publisher.
The Duke appeared in 3 stories (I initially thought just 1 story) that were published by different companies.
Bernard Baily's studio provided the artwork for Ghost Woman so it made sense to include him in her world.

Not sure. I see them both as avatars of justice. With the Duke being created in the 30s he would be an earlier version of the avatar of justice.
