My Bio
Daniel Cabuco always had a huge imagination and loved drawing since he was a child. After high school, he decided to take the leap and pursue his lifelong dream of becoming an artist. After studying at the Art Center College of Design, he was able to merge his love of computer games with his passion for art in the video game industry. It’s a passion that never waned as joined companies such as NovaLogic, Crystal Dynamics, and The Collective.
He was excited to join Spark Unlimited as a 17 year veteran after having worked as an Art Director or Art Lead on such notable titles as Tomb Raider: Legend, Tomb Raider: Anniversary, Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 and 2, Legacy of Kain: Defiance, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Other titles include Tomb Raider: Underworld, F-22 Raptor, Comanche 3, and Armored Fist. His work was recently published in ‘The Art of Tomb Raider’, from Dreams and Visions Press.
In his free time, Daniel likes to sketch monsters, hike, play video games, read fantasy/sci-fi novels, collect art books, visit galleries, watch kung-fu films, lecture about art in the game industry, and practice fire dancing.
So Nosgoth.. what can I say. :) Psyonix and Eidos heard the voice of the fans, and approached me to help them create an more devolved and authentic look for the vampires. It's thanks to all your collective voices that I got the chance to return to Nosgoth. I've said it time and again: the Legacy of Kain / Soul Reaver fans are the best! :) Anyway, stay tuned to see more from our collaboration. I hope you enjoy the evolution (or rather devolution) of the Clan Vampires. Oh and I'll be playing NOSGOTH right along with you. I have a steam group set up, please check my forum http://www.dcabdesign.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1541 I was th

Hello all! I just put up a poll on my forum asking what you'd like to see me paint next. If you're interested in seeing Melchiah, Razielhim or Turel portraits, just give it a quick visit and click on your choice. Feel free to drop a line and tell me why you picked what you did. :) http://www.dcabdesign.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1533&sid=d4c2e984fd56c7e7f56974b4a4aadc2c

Finally getting a break as Lost Planet 3 comes to a close. What a rush making that game. I'm very grateful to Capcom for giving me the opportunity to take their game license and add a bit of western flair to it. So how do I relax? Painting in photoshop! Lol, I don't get to do enough of it really. Sometimes being an Art Director means you don't get to touch much yourself. Just spend time adjusting looks and making calls about how things should look. Ah well, time to grab my Twin Turbo Supra and drive some canyons down to the beach! Yaaaay!

Awesome to have access to one of the creative powers behind one of the greatest videogame mythologies in existence. Love seeing the concept art!
Nice to see some updates! It's been a while since you added anything. Any chance of a Lt Turel or Melchiah?

*Turel was in the lead on that survey you did a while back.*

Or perhaps the elusive Nosgoth (game) era Evolved Rahabim?
Hey Aesir, right now I'm hard at work on doing illustrations for a friend's book 'Once Upon a Mouse'. Once I get done with that I'll jump back in to SR drawings again. Thanks for being patient, I want to do a Lt Turel and Melchiah piece, too.  Alas the paying gigs come first. :P
I was really hoping LoK would pick up again. D:

Regardless, I love all your art and look forward to seeing more of whatever you do.
Your art is great!
I wanted to ask if I can post a few on my Tumblr, with the link to your page of course ^^
Sure. Not a problem as long as you provide credit and links. Thanks
