Dungeon 3 - 1

While the tasks of the guilds on the island were still underway, Kael and Selendis decided with the other flyers and riders of their group to make a pass beyond the coastline, . The reason for that was the possibility of some of the artifacts being washed towards some of the rock formations nearby the locals told the leaders about and portals showing up there to which those with wings could reach. Each pair took a section and began the exploration, with the ramushian duo taking the northern area.

As expected, they were finding stuff, even floating on the water, so they made some runs into collecting more stuff, but dividing it between what needed to be replenished and what they could keep it for their side missions. It was a small topic of debate between them and Bruno. However, just like what happened with the wind coral, as long as it's not used in a regular mission, even though that was becoming a loosely term to use under the circumstances, they could stash what items they believed it could aid them when they were on their own, so long as if there was a lot of it to pass a portion of it to Zuma.

However, as Kael and Selendis were flying further into the ocean, spotting some of the rock formations below to explore, they noticed a massive dark cloud at the horizon, with a barely visible blur to indicate it was raining in that area. Strange... the locals said there was no forecast of rain at this time, the ralts thought. What it was stranger was that the cloud was moving in opposition of the wind currents, something that shouldn't be possible, unless...

'Sely? Do you mind if we head to the cloud?' Kael asked her through telepathy.
'Huh? Why? Do you think there's something causing it?' Selendis eyed her brother.
'I think we both know who is capable of causing a rain... and very possibly the one we called here without the guild knowing'
'Oh, yeah... Then hold on back there. I'll go in hot'

To avoid getting soaked, Selendis and Kael put their psychic shield on and once they entered the rain, the drops didn't touch them on their flight. With their ample field of vission, the ralts began to determine where the center of the cloud would be and prepared to open up a new mental link. While it was still possible for him to make some long range telepathy, the previous events were still dragging him down, and the last time they used it was with the yveltal's help to amplify the range for a short period of time, something he prefer not to melt his head with. 

It was then that they saw down below a massive silhouette swimming underwater. Both ramushians were quite surprised, since the last time they saw that pokemon she was a little more than the double of the size of Violet in height and way more in longitude. Now, it seemed that they were seeing a small island advancing forward. Wasting no time and seeing they were close enough, Kael opened up a telepathic link to the person below the surface of the ocean.

'Lumis, can you hear me?' he asked.
'Kael! Is that really you?' the kyogre sounded happy.
'Yup. We're above you, if that huge silhouette is not an illusion'
'Well... you can say I got WAAAAAY bigger than a wailord, so... heh'
'Can you surface? Selendis will need a place to land' Kael asked.
'Sure, just give me a moment' Lumis nodded.

Slowly but surely, the ascended kyogre rose from her underwater realm, revealing a good portion of her massive body. Both Selendis and Kael were a little baffled. Not only she was a floating island, her accessories matched her size as well. Pearls that were bigger than the ralts, the corals and flowers that could act as a hiding spot for the yveltal... Who managed to give her this things? That work must've been a huge ordeal, Kael couldn't say he wasn't impressed.

Once the "blue island" was stable enough, Selendis began her descend, making circles around Lumis in a soft spiral until she carefully placed her talons on the kyogre's skin atop of her head. The reason for it was the claws that even if a wound would be quite small in comparison, the yveltal was not going to start doing it. When she was firmly on "soft" ground, she modified the psychic shield from covering her entire body to acting as a sort of roof to avoid the rain, making it easier to maintain with her current concentration, and sat down.

"I'M VERY GLAD TO SEE YOU GUYS AGAIN" Lumis said. Her voice echoed all around the pair.
"Woah, talking about being loud" Selendis shocked her head.
"HUH? DID YOU SAY SOMETHING?" the kyogre asked.

Well, this is starting to become an issue, Kael noticed. The fact that Lumis was too big meant that they would have to be as close a possible to her ears to talk properly, at least from that side. So he decided to resort to their other form of communication, with Selendis getting on board with it.

'Sorry Lumis, but it appears we need to keep talking through here' the ralts explained. 'Your voice is now way too loud for us and shouting doesn't seem a good way to be heard'
'Oh...' the kyogre gulped and lowered her volume. "Then... how about now?"
'Better, but we'll keep using telepathy on our end' Selendis said. 'You can keep using your voice if you want to"
"Alright, I'll be mindful of it" she closed her eyelids as a nod since she couldn't do it with passengers on board.
'You had a good swim on your end?' Kael asked.
"Pretty normal, I think. And... what about you? Those burst telepathic signals you sent to me and that difficult link you established with me..."
'Well, since you're here know, I think we better tell you what happened after the last conversation' he sighed.

Kael and Selendis recounted the events from their departure from Whisper Falls to the Ailes Canyon, through the circus the ascended darkrai Midas put for a reason still not well known, the suddenly snap of Violet who decided to kill the ascended yveltal Raphael for reasons still not yet known as well, her final attempt to eliminate him by causing a mass explosion that would kill everyone around her, the last-minute action of their people to teleport them to the island and the request of the Zii'gal to travel to Ramush.

"Oh... Oooooohhhh... Miss Violet really tried to get to another ascended and not caring who was around her?" Lumis was shocked.
'We couldn't believe it ourselves when it happened' Kael frowned. 'Even when we knocked her out, she looked like she was obsessed with killing Mister Raphael, consequences be damned' 
"But that... she broke her oath" the kyogre couldn't hide her disbelief. "That means another xerneas must take her place in order to keep her ascended line going"
'There has been some talk among our group about it, but fighting Violet would require something more drastic' Selendis sighed. 'Cadoc and I... had our Soul Dews removed so our powers could reach an acceptable spike to counter the two ascended'
"But that's way too dangerous" the ascended looked at the yveltal worried. "That's the reason the dews exist in the first place"
'We didn't have any option that could work in that time' the ralts explained. 'Hah... it was a desperate gamble, I know. But to counter an ascended, you need someone that can temporarily match their power'
'I think we told you that Cadoc was under her tutelage to learn how to use his powers efficiently, even in a limited form' the yveltal commented. 
"Oh, yeah... that at least meant he could keep that rampant power in check for a bit... Guys, I... I don't know what to say. That's just messed up"

There was a moment of silence among them as the rain acted as the sound background. Indeed, the events in Ailes Canyon were a complete shattering of what they knew, and the realization that darker times were coming for everyone.

'For the time being, we'll follow Mister Callipas and the Zii'gal's instructions and head towards Ramush' Kael suddenly said.
"Huh? You said that the Zii'gal talked with your guild leaders" Lumis pointed. "When Mister Callipas showed up?"
'With us through telepathy' Selendis explained. 'He asked that our group would head to Ramush with or without the guild. There's something important he wants to speak with us'
"And the guild? Will they go to Ramush as well?" the kyogre asked.
'Honestly... we don't know' the ralts admitted. "I heard they're considering it, but I can't say if they'll follow through with it'
"Hmm... well, it won't be easy to call for a ship in these parts. Since you lived in Ramush, you can already guess how transit is in the Aelu"
'Yeah, and flying over kilometers of ocean without a point of reference can be really disorientating' the yveltal sighed. 'I remember we headed just north to get to the mainland when we left our homeland and we had some ships to land, since there was an established route'
"Right, so I was thinking... how about if I lend you guys a fin?" the ascended offered.
'You mean you can carry us?' Kael titled her head. 'Are you fast enough on the surface to get to Ramush in time?'
"No... and I wasn't referring to carry you on my back for the same reason you described"
'So what's the plan?' Selendis looked at her with curiosity.
"Well... my idea is....  that you travel in my mouth" Lumis felt a little awkward saying that.

That certainly caught them by surprise. Remembering what happened back in Palais Island, Kael was small enough to get into Lumis, considering that everyone else you take the entire space of the mouth. If the kyogre's idea was correct, and considering her current size, she could carry a lot of people. And the ralts was already seeing the reasoning behind that plan.

'There's an underwater current that you can use and make you travel faster towards Ramush from here' Kael deduced.
"You know about it?" Lumis was impressed of his awareness.
'Oh, now I get it' Selendis nodded. 'I think some water types that visit Ramush regularly use that route. Laprases, wailords, gyaradoses... that current allow them to preserve strength and reach the island without any complications'
"So you understand why it's the best course of action" the kyogre smiled. "Did you meet someone that told you about it?"
'Not really. We just overheard some conversations of the "adventurers of the ocean". When we saw how many water pokemon arrived from the point where the current became weaker, we became convinced that route exist' the ralts admitted.
'Then that means Lumis can get us there in record time' the yveltal nodded. 'However... Lumis... I don't want to be disrespectful or anything, but... is mouth clean enough?'
"Um... well... it's probably going to smell like the fruit I ate a while ago, so..." the ascended felt awkward. "I think you should try to get used to it... sorry..."
'Well, the smell is not going to kill us. And if the current is strong enough, we'll be in Ramush in a few hours' Kael reasoned. 'So we can withstand it until them'
"Yeah..." Lumis went quiet for a moment.
'Hmm? Something wrong Lumis?' Selendis asked.
"It's just... remembering what happened in Palais Island... I'm now beggining to have some doubts" 
'You mean...' the ralts knew how she was referring to.
"Eli" the kyogre remembered that bug well. "By an oversight, he ended deeper inside of me and you had to travel all the way to get to him, got stuck for a bit, and...
'I don't think we can forget that thing, even if we tried' Kael sighed.
"I really don't want that happening again. Now with my size, I might not be able to sense him at all or... anyone that could carelessly fall on my throat"
'I don't think it'll be something to be extremely concerned with' the yveltal believed. 'If we steer clear from the back of your mouth or get big pokemon that can block the way in, it'll be harder for anyone to get to see the rest of your body'
"I guess... but... it doesn't convince me at all"

From Lumis' thought patterns, Kael was figuring out that there was another measure she wanted to propose. One that would require him to get back into the action and use his "particular" skills, but something she wouldn't want to say. Looks like I'll be heading into the same cabins and hallways, he realized.

'Hah... let me guess, Lumis. You want me to get into your stomach and act as the final barrier to keep anyone falling into your throat and become food, right?' Kael saw it would very much be the case.
"... Yeah" the kyogre felt ashamed. "I really didn't want to ask you, because you already had your share of troubles trying to get Eli out of me. Telling you to go back there is... it makes me feel bad"
'But it's probably something worth doing'
Lumis looked at him a little perplexed. "Huh? You don't find it... like..."
'Lumis... you know as well as I do that Kael has both the means and the skill necessary to remain inside of you while everyone is none the wiser' Selendis commented. 'After all, the ship Lumis has currently two crewmates: you and him'
'And while there shouldn't be any issues, it pays to be safe' the ralts added. 'If that reassures you that in case of any slip, I'll catch them and find a way to send them back to your mouth, then we'll go with it'
"Kael... thanks" the ascended felt relieved. "That reminds me... if you need to make a stable position there, just go with it and I'll manage"
'Before that, I'd suggest to bring the rest of the group to you so we can plan how we're going to distribute ourselves' Selendis proposed.
"That means without the guild first, right?"
'Better have some people crazy enough to get used to what Kael is doing, so your have a good group of guardians that'll know how to react'
'Not to mention that many of them have horns, antlers and pointy parts that could pierce the flesh with a sudden bump' the ralts remembered. 'So Lumis, if you don't mind, wait here a little and we'll ramp up the crazy count'
"Alright then, I'll stay here" the kyogre nodded.
'Sely?'
'Preparing for takeoff' the yveltal nodded. 'Time to show why no one can tell us how crazy we can be'
