Description

the Akazora girls' recurring villains of plot importance-- 1/3 of the TF mainsquad! just not the first third.
the actual Big 3 (Liz/Zatt/Skotos) coming next (just got the writeup) but i wanteda get these guys' out first since there's so little art of them.
Biyu and his guys are after that (only posed so far but i'm essited to have a shiny vector Biyu on here finally :yay: )

ya don't gotta read any or alla this, but i'll love you forever if you do <3

Stanizuri Milstaz
SPECIES: Therifelidan
NATIONALITY: Volonski
ETHNICITY: western continental/Zur
LANGUAGES: 1) bilingual Common/Lonski 2) limited Basnari 3) a Spanish-back-to-Latin understanding of Russian-- that's useful, 5 quadrillion miles from Earth 4) the Malakan proficiency of a semi-trained dog.
ACCENT FOR AUDIENCE: American west coast hipster from all the TV he grew up on.
VOCAL: high, hard, shrill, gravelly
AGE: 22 (birthdate translate: 01/MAY/1965)
RANK: 4th year regency conscript. he's right on schedule; not in front, not behind. just tryna blend in. leave him alone and stop asking. can't wait to be out.
UNIFORM: VOL/BAS standard conscript; basic TF violet mid-cut impact/radiation resistant bodysuit under carbon and chrome. Volon scarlet kneebands. VOL/BAS boots.
EQUIP: he can carry a heavy blaster (2-handed standard plasma gun) and wears lode gloves to power it. basic GI vizscreen.
BIOELECTRIC: he throws a good punch when unarmed but also throws a weak bolt, for being so in shape otherwise-- even with his gloves on. he can run a pretty consistent charge though, so he is rarely without his weapon.
PERSONALITY: analytical, reluctant, critical, moooderately queeny. a clown, but sarcastic and grounded. not disloyal, but highly risk-averse; he WILL outswim you to get away from the shark but feel awful after.
FAMILY: semi-noble parents.
Stasca (sister,)
Kulk (brother-in-law)

Stazi was close to the Mukos from the beginning. his dad was big pals with Jen and Skotos' dad, and the groundskeeper for their estate. both families go way back with this exact dynamic. naturally, living just across the lake from the royal family and very close in age to the prince, Stazi was quick besties with Skotos from an early age, and with Zatt when he seemed old enough to be "down." the three of them are a unit all their own, and younger Lizarun seems bitterly playing catch-up with all of them, despite being in charge. (yes, even of Skotos in a way.)

much like Skotos didn't wanna go into politics, Stazi also rejected his dynastic destiny.
he didn't wanna mow the Mukos' lawn/snowblow their driveway for a living. he doesn't like sledcats. he doesn't like fishing or hunting or drinking in a woodfired hot tub. he has absolutely zero yee-haw in him, and even was only attending Outermoons as a formality and expectation.

he spent his teens gobbling up comics and LPs and going to punk shows in the city with his friends. he has a stuffy, nerdy, if jock-y affect, but isn't particularly book smart or academic in a formal sense. he's the most level and logical-seeming of the core group of boys around the same age, so while he engaged in their delinquency and drunken hijinks he was typically the first to distance himself from it.

also, very sensitive about his teeth. he got that shit fixed, like sorta, so leave it alone.

he didn't care for the fancy stuff inherent to his station in the high aristocracy either; like the Muko kids, he was detached from it, more absorbed in the imported counterculture from a far away place called Earth which seemed to be pumping that shit out like they had literally nothing else to do. :S and by the time Earth entered their consumer/neoliberal 'post-history" age in the 20th century, they really didn't-- which is probably why their media was so good/trashy. there was a huge galactic market for it, and Volon kids especially ate it up.

he doesn't want anything to do with this military shit, but the Therifelidans just up'n drafted every kid alive when the worldenders came. so he's in til whenever they decide that business is overwith, and meantime keeps close to Zatt and Skotos. mostly reigning in the former, while out in space behind Lizarun.

Petta "Margo" Komargunsun
SPECIES: Therifelidan
NATIONALITY: Basnari
ETHNICITY: Basnari, did he stutter-- it's (was, terrestrially) a theocratic ethnostate.
LANGUAGES: 1)Basnari 2)Lonski 3) serviceable common with fucked up verb conjugations 4) can't even pronounce Malakan names, so sorry, sorry about that, sorry guys really
ACCENT FOR AUDIENCE: Scandinavian
VOCAL: medium, soft, husky, smooth
AGE: 20 (birthdate translate: 20/JUN/1967)
RANK: also a 4th year regency conscript, but he got a cushy specialist position. he doesn't remember what it was, no one does, it's written down somewhere; he just kinda follows Lizarun and the gang around after being recruited to his little entourage. even if he's just an L4 he gets a lot of perks from what remains from Basnar's leadership, and this 'Margo Card' hand-waves a lot of complications their group runs into. which is good for them, and for me as the writer also.
UNIFORM: VOL/BAS standard conscript, basic TF violet mid-cut impact/radiation resistant bodysuit under carbon and chrome. Basnar aqua kneebands, not their yellow (he's working onit.) VOL/BAS boots.
EQUIP: lode gloves. basic GI vizscreen. otherwise iunno, whatever no one else wants to carry or do. i guess the previously mentioned identitarian clearance from Basnar is his best
equipment.
BIOELECTRIC: not great as a Basnari (not so high n mighty are y'all huh) he's very physically strong to make up for it.
PERSONALITY: genial, open, nonjudgmental, naive, worldly/cultured but seemingly sheltered. a pleaser-- so good at the suckup side of service, but totally not an operator. shoots over peoples' heads. constantly apologizes for the old empire.
FAMILY: nobodies really; no one in the story. all dead from the worldender attack.

Margo is really just along for the ride here, guys.
like Stazi he didn't wanna do this shit-- he got drafted into active service while he was still technically just a student at the academy. but unlike Staz, he's happy to help out with-- y'know, whatever. :T not always sure what's goin on, but we'll figure it out. n_n/)

in another life he'd be a counsellor for wayward teens with special needs, or have a sledcat rescue.
maybe be a middle school gym teacher. he does love clapping and cheering at sports-- but motivationally, not competitively. he was drifting through Outermoons without much direction, just forward inertia with time. did great though, the whole time. just playing against himself
though, haha guys it's all about beating your own high score.

in fact he's SO noncompetitive, he unintentionally instigates a couple of conflicts by freely communicating with the Akazora girls without treating it like some big alert. it almost seems to foil the Lizarun-squad's primary end of eliminating or capturing them, to find the princess. but his dry obliviousness seems to be obfuscating something else going on. he's real laid back about that whole princess business. did he know the Karieghs or something? does he talk to the Canitherians?

what the hell DOES do he do when no one's around, just smile blankly into space like a doggo with the lights off? he has zero interest in relationships, aro as hell- super sex posi though, not that he tries. it's not about that, guys.

for whatever his involvement or attitude is toward his squad's actual political goals, it's nothing sinister-- Margo is legitimately just... an earnest, chill-ass guy who doesn't seem to tolerate facetiousness or acknowledge backchanneling. it's as if he's inert when it comes to conflict. he seems to be a distillation of what the Basnari ethos is (SAYS it is anyway) when scrubbed of the whole Empire of Therios thing. terrestrial-transplant TFs who survived the worldenders think this is weird when they get to the colony, and all the Basnards are just these... straightforward, kindly-earnest --if insular-- people, who just wanna fish, and... be firefighters and shit. wholesome crowd. Margo fits right in, if he's an oddity in the limited perspectives of terrestrial transplants. maybe that's their problem, and not his.

oh, this is what it's like to live without bullshit, can't we just do that? i mean that's what the Akazora girls wanna do. idk guys, these Mathilian seems cools and like they's just tryna vibe around space and ask us questions whenever we sees them, stops shooting at them. maybe the TAI's is not so bad. they're all the way over there, why the hate, guys.

Lizarun doesn't talk to him. this level of wholesome weirds him right the fuck out.
--but, he has a Basnard on his personal employ, so check that off for HR.

Bastien "Piqo" Picquot
SPECIES: Therifelidan
NATIONALITY: Malakan
ETHNICITY: Northern Islander-- he claims some "Galeán" (milky-skinned Basnari-colonizer-turned-interbred-revolutionary) heritage, but it's way back-- all the way to Galeandrus himself, in fact uwu he also seems to claim Zoain (main island highlander) heritage. mysterious guy*, to claim the two most venerated lineages in all Malakannes and deflect any further conversation.
(*a liar)
LANGUAGES: 1) bilingual Malakan/Common 2) more Basnari than Margo has Malakan 3) Lonski slurs, historically mostly used on subordinates.
ACCENT FOR AUDIENCE: French...ish? -y? w/e same as Lizarun.
VOCAL: medium, hard, flat, gravelly
AGE: 34 (birthdate translate: 29/DEC/1952)
RANK: he's a sergeant, but Lizarun only has him on to fulfill minimum officer requirements and uses him as an intel/communications guy, since he seemed to pooh-pooh being told to do anything too messy or "kinetic." mostly just does everybody's paperwork and keeps the car running outside.
UNIFORM: Malakan officer; carbon and beryl-brass over a TF-violet bodysuit with extra impact/radiation protection-- but of course he prefers a sleeveless/high-cut one so that's a mostly pointless preference. Malakan lavender kneebands. he'd rather wear the VOL/BAS standard boots for comfort, but wouldn't be caught dead in them, so dapper Malakan patent riding-toe boots it is. at least he doesn't bother with the spurs and greaves á la Commodore Biyu.
EQUIP: lode gloves. fancy MnG vizscreen. Malakan longknife. WILL NOT carry a gun. ever, you can't make him. oh he's a t e r r i f i c  m a r k s m a n but won't show you. just trust him on it.
BIOELECTRIC: serious with his gloves on, especially with his longknife. without them he can still sustain a high charge for a long time for his size, and can peak to throw bolts but not too many times in a row; it's just that yt-gui Basnari DNA holdin him back, he swears. u_ú/)
PERSONALITY: lizard person, but also a fabulous try-hard. quiet, aloof, professional, judgy/queeny. generally unimpressed, but especially apathetic toward violence-- totally will smoke someone/cut them in half, but unlike Lizarun he's not grossed out by grue and will not react, and only if he HAS to. career bachelor/secret perv.
FAMILY: no one in the story, but like many Malakan officers not from the pastoral interior he comes from money. all dead from the worldender attack.

Picquot comes along on a few operations, but is mostly seen at a console chainsmoking grumpily and delivering sparse, deadpan logistical information/exposition between scenes-- or showing Lizarun what he did over the weekend on his phone, very lackluster about whatever debauched depravity it was. we never see. he's also often talking to somebody in excited, untranslated Malakan on his vizscreen. rumors abound: his mother who's not dead, or a gambling thing; the Malakan speakers can't even tell he codes his language so much. so weird, weird guy. his eccentricity becomes apparent if he talks about himself, often unsolicited and in detail. he gets insulted if you react to that, sounds like a 'you' problem.

his one big foray on a mission is only to impress who they're going to go meet. the Regency Years' government's armed force is so severely diminished and informal after the worldender attack, that TF brass showing face as a flex almost kind of has a reverse effect... Piqo seems aware of this from the start durign this particular situation, and is more aggravated that he has had to leave the ship/something is holding them from going back than the gravity of what is happening.

he and Stazi clash at this crossroads, being the closest in affect/personal philosophy toward service in the group; but while Stazi is thinking of what's best for everyone in his risk aversion, it requires an extra step, so Piqo is less inclined to correct the mistake and just wants to go home. Zatt respects Piqo's stone-cold operator angle, 'it was just orders/not our problem,' but Stazi's personal connection to Zatt overrides his coolness-- leaving Piqo to roll his eyes and light up a smoke while Zatt wastes calories going to be a hero for once.

while his immobility comes off as a hindrance for Lizarun's group, if something happens drastically/suddenly he is the first to interevene, often alongside Zatakan. but while the latter leaps into the fray for love of the game and apparently some kind of guilty death wish, Piqo just wants to eliminate whatever is between him and his downtime, and seems to (rightly) think he's more efficient in this than everyone else but Zatt. after cleaving whatever it is in half with his longknife or bolting it to dust from thirty feet away, he just goes back to whatever he was doing.
