Hey guys~! I put this little guide together for anyone interested in making their own uniform from Love Live! School Idol Project :D! I designed the fabric for the skirts, but since I designed it for a very specific size pleat I wanted to make a guide to go along with the fabric  ~ please feel free to comment if you have any questions!! <3

*UPDATE!* Info for how to make the ribbons is now included as well <3!

The fabric for the skirt & ribbons is available for purchase on! -->…

If you're interested in purchasing a pre-made one I have them available in my store~! -->

I realize this is a pretty niche tutorial, but I just really wanna spread the aidoru love to my fellow Love Live fans ~ I seriously love this series sooooo much ;w;!! I hope this is helpful, and have fun cosplaying <3!! Maybe we can even get pics together ~ LOVE LIVES ;w;

Hi! I was wondering what material you used to make your skirts and bows? There were so many options when I went to look at the fabric on your website and I didn't know which one would be best? I'm planning to cosplay Honoka since their is a convention this August and I wanted to make her skirt. I love this tutorial and I hope to buy the fabric.

Hey, it would be a lot more helpful if you could add more photos and elaborate some more on some parts, I'm having a lot of trouble ;-; Maybe you should do a video tutorial in the future.

Which fabric type did you choose for these skirts?

Would you still be willing/able to make pre-made skirts to sell?

You are so sweet!!! Seriously! I really like the way you did the pleating in this tutorial. I think I'm going to use it more than just for making one of these skirts.
If you ever want to do a Love Live! group at a con, let me know! I'm always down for joining groups! It's the most fun :D

This is a godsend.

I love the skirt from COSPA but I can't personally justify spending more than $200 on JUST the skirt.

Thank you so much for sharing your work and techniques!

Thanks so much for everything! I already have the fabric from Spoonflower, and the yellow vest, and my next step is going to be actually assembling the skirt :)

If you don't mind me asking, did you guys get the wigs that are sold specifically made for the characters, or did you order base wigs and style them yourself? I'm going to be cosplaying Maki, and from the pictures online, the wig that they are selling specifically for her seems a bit too pale for my taste and I would prefer to just get a base wig and style it myself. I've saved a few decent base wigs I've found, but seeing your Maki again made me realize how great her wig was :o Could you give me any pointers on how/where you got your wigs, and/or a place where I could ask your Maki?

Once again thank you so much for everything else though- having the fabric available on Spoonflower is basically what made me able to do this cosplay! ^o^

Sorry for the late response! Kotori and I used the pre-styled wigs from MoeMall (aka Lucaille). The wig our Maki is wearing in this pic she bought from EpicCosplay! I'm not sure which style, but I think it was a longer wavy style that she cut shorter. I hope that helps <3!

Thank you so much! I want to cosplay Maki for an anime convention and it's hard to find tutorials or accurate cosplays.
