The contest results! Yay!

First I would like to thank everyone that entered. I was amazed at the number or participants and I would like to say againg how stunned and happy you made me by agreeing to enter my contest. You are all awesome people and I would love to hug each one of you!

The whole idea behind this contest was to have fun with Ocs, create links. The fact that people could enter on behalf of others made this even bigger, greater, and better as people gave their best not only for them, but to help others. Really, can you feel the love? I do! (Yes, I may sound somehow Heartshriney here but that isn't my fault, ) I am amazed everytime i can feel the community spirit there is on dA sometimes.

Those entries were all differents, and each one showed how much care you put in this. It made it terribly hard to choose, even with my panel of judges/ friends helping me. There have been some serious tussle , believe me!

But since I'm quite sure you are all now dancing on the spot with eagerness, I won't torture you more and give you the results.

First place:

Ho my that was a hard one to choose. We discussed long and hard and in the end, weren't able to come to a straight answer.

so the first place is in fact, a tie between 2 entries.

The automn feeling and warm colours of this piece made my heart melt immediately. Not only the characters are magnificently drawn but the story that goes with it is really interesting and makes the reader wants to know more about those two kids. I could look at this for hours and not get bored.

The details and mastery of this drawing are amazing. The mix between the features of both parents is flawless and the eyes are truly magnetic, pulling you in and the back story is interesting, taking in the characters of both parents. Vodel the evil elf and Katy the shapeshifter. Not a match out of love, a child born of violence, but truly and deeply loved by a mother would saw in him her only chance to ever have child.


The other little thing was that we realised that most of the winning entries were a "spread the love entry", hence a piece made to help someone else win. That wasn't planned but helped to proove once more how deviantArt is a community full of reat people! So how to split the prizes? There again we concerted and chose for the first place only (The others I will contact to see how they want it to be done.). I hope this will prove satisfactory to everyone:
