I'll never stop appreciating just how much damn detail is in these things and how easy the images read. I can see what you're doing, but it's like watching a magician who knows his shit so well it doesn't even matter that I know how the trick is done, the execution is so smooth. Big ass black lines on subjects, thin white line border to separate layers, overlapping characters with high detail in front and behind the big dude with less shadow/detail for contrast and..and.....and......."oh hey look...a god damn air balloon" :D

This is amazing! I was sailing (or flying) over your drawing and suddenly I figured out the bat! Ha, ha! Scarry! Can I ask about the thin white lines? Do you use white paint in the process or is it done digitally? Thank you!
Both, actually. Good eye! I try to make the original as perfect as possible, but then I go do halo punch ups digitally for the colorist. =)
