Can you believe I am STILL making Winter Court art?
I actually started this one shortly after WC ended... I wanted to do one last manga-styled drawing of my character. But stuff came up (it always does) and I had little or no time to work on it. But hey, it's finished now!
This is the colored/finished version of this sketch: [link]
I tried a different method with this one; the last time I tried it was with this picture: [link] . In this one, I'm working without lines, laying down the shapes instead of coloring within outlines. I'm not used to this kind of method, and I really do rely upon my linework very heavily, so this was a real change of pace for me. It took longer to finish than I thought it would, but it was good for me to experiment and break out of my usual habits. I'm looking at my drawings of comic-objects in a different way after this one, which is normally a good thing. Plus, I really like how important the colors become without the linework, and I think the color turned out especially well this time. I was a little worried that they'd be kind of "muddy," which would not be appropriate for a Doji Rinji picture, but thankfully my fears weren't founded.
So overall, I'm pleased with this one. I might make it my featured pic for a while...

Damn, can't believe I missed this.
Awesome work. Rinji is looking as cute and innocent as always.
