Beads of sweat drip down from Lindo's forehead as his breathing shortens. You're alarmed as a gasp emitting from his mouth projects throughout the bedroom. You gently rub the sleep out of your eyes as you turn on the lamp on the nightstand, concerned for Lindo's wellbeing.
"Lindo...?"
"Gah!"
"Lindo!! Are you ok...?"
Lindo abruptly opens his eyes, calming down upon gaining focus on you.
"Another nightmare?" you ask with concern, moving his bangs away from his forehead.
"..." he doesn't reply as he sits up, wrapping his arms around his knees.
"Tell me what happened," you gently rub his back, hoping he'd share what happened in his dream.
"It was another nightmare, but this time... you died," Lindo relaxes his shoulders and gazes at you.
"Vampires took hold of you and I had no control over my powers as a dhampir. Ritsuka and those damned devils were yelling at me to stop and control myself. I..." he pauses briefly before tightly shutting his eyes. "I couldn't come to my senses to save you."
"You know that would never happen. I'm an exorcist like you, after all," you trailed off, leaning over and resting your head against his shoulder. "And you have full control over your powers."
"It doesn't hinder the fact that there's a possibility I would hurt you without thinking whenever we engage in a battle," Lindo softly replies, resting his head against yours.
"You won't," you reach over for his hand. "I'll do everything I can to make sure that won't ever occur."
"Sometimes I feel so fortunate to have you as my wife," he takes your hand and places a soft kiss on the back of it.
You smile as you kneel in front of him on the bed, settling between his legs while wrapping your arms around his neck. "And I'm grateful you're my husband. We were under much scrutiny for marrying immediately after we graduated from high school, but I have no regrets."
Lindo adjusts your position so that you're sitting in his lap, holding onto your waist. "Me neither."
You lean up and rest your lips against his as he slips his hand under your nightshirt. You let out a soft mewl as he runs his hand up your bare back.
"Lindo... I..." you were cut short as Lindo kisses you passionately, pushing you down against the bed.
"You've done so much for me, especially with all the nightmares I've had as of recently. At least..." he places gentle kisses along your neck as clothing articles are discarded one by one. "At least let me return the favor. I owe you so much as both your husband and lover."
You nod at Lindo as your body is flush against his, words not escaping as only a moan escapes from your lips.
You're filled with determination in ensuring that Lindo doesn't get another nightmare; he's set on making sure his nightmares never become a reality.
"Lindo...?"

OPINION TIME - SPOILERS for Dance with Devil-PSVita: So I watched part of the Let's Play of Dance with Devils for Lindo's route and I'm adamantly against the idea of him and Ritsuka together. I guess the whole "brother/cousin" just rubs me the wrong way, and the fact that they get married in the Human Ending for Lindo ended up infuriating me a lot even though the developers tried to make it really sweet?? I really like Ritsuka and Rem together (OTPOTPOTP) and omfg the Human ending for Ritsuka and Roen is so damn cute like I really hope they expand on Roen if they decide to make a Season 2 of the anime.

Oh my god, I love this! Lindo is my second favorite character in DWD and my favorite is Shiki and I'm kinda sad that there's not much fan fic about him. Again good work on Lindo X Reader! You are my favorite Lindo fan fic writer!
