Waist Wrap dforce by soup-sammich Waist Wrap dforce by soup-sammich
For anyone who downloads the file:

Contents are: A full d'force file setup ready for use after unzipping and copy/pasting the contents appropriately.  Copy the contents of the folder titled 'data' into your Daz 'data' folder and the 'People' folder into your Daz People Folder.

Here are some of the basics:
1. This is just the wrap.  It is d'force, but it's not perfect (it's free, after all).  I didn't notice any "explosion" issues with this one, but that doesn't mean you won't find any.  Feel free to tweak as necessary...
--1.a. You may need to do some tweaking to get the wrap to drape right without poke through.  Or just fix poke through in post.
2. It only has the default texture that Marvelous Designer exports with the files.  You're on your own for the texturing...
4. The dress polygons are squares, so there are some minor "dimples" with some of the drapes.
5. The dress is fairly high poly, however, I've noticed that smoothing is required.  I've taken the liberty of setting that in the files, so you should be good to go.
6. I've also taken the liberty of setting the (for lack of a better word, and because I can't think of the actual Daz setting) "shrinkage" to 90% to better simulate the results of the full dynamic version I'll upload in a moment, tweak as needed.
7. This is a somewhat conforming item, but it's not very well done without the d'force simulation present.
8. This DOES require Daz version 4.10.  If you're still on 4.9 I cannot guarantee success.  I've heard it's possible, but I didn't try...
9. If you use the wrap in a render, please credit me here! (optional, but I'd like to see what you do with it :D (Big Grin) :D (Big Grin) :D (Big Grin))

Disclaimer: This is a free file, so it may need some tweaking from both our ends.  If you run into issues not being able to open the files in Daz, let me know.  If it's something I can fix, I will fix it and re-upload.  I unfortunately do not have the time to walk you through the processes for tweaking the cloth drapes and settings.  For a basic dforce tutorial, check this out: fav.me/dbuis6x

Hope you enjoy the wrap, and please let me see what you do with it! :D (Big Grin) Hug

Thanks! I’ll give the robes a go in a week or so. There’s a lot of loose fabric in their design, so I can’t guarantee results in 3D (especially dforce)...

What are you using to make the clothes? MD?

Yup. Then transfer to Daz for either righed or dforce. Depending, of course on theclothing type...

This would behave badly on G8F, but works great on G3F.

Agreed. I haven’t gotten around to making G8F content, yet...

By the way, this uses "Clothes" as a folder name, instead of the usual "Clothing" folder name.  So it doesn't appear where your other products appear (and other products in general).

Yeah, I noticed that after the fact. Haven’t gotten around to updating it yet. I think there might be another one with the same incorrect folder structure out there...

Hey, thanks for sharing your sexy wrap.  I'm loving playing around with this new dForce feature in Daz Studio.  Here's a little render I threw together with your wrap...

Speaking of Blender, apparently it doesn't like the triangle polys that I included with my other Marvelous Designer/.obj releases.  I'm in the process of updating the included files...

All of my Marvelous Designer releases have been updated to include a .obj with quad polys. So, if you want to use them in Blender, you’ll have to download the .zip files again...
