12,500 page views deserves a little ...something special...

(edit: if you have a 3d program that can turn an .obj file into dynamic cloth, or Marvelous Designer, the dress Nikki's wearing is available for download here: fav.me/dbr4hve and it's free!)

I made it in Marvelous Designer. I’ll upload the garment file here (assuming it’s not too big after I zip it) when I get home. I’ll include an .obj version as well if I can. If you’re going with the .obj you’ll need to rig it, though... or do the Daz dynamic cloth hack. Or I suppose you could import it into any other program that can turn an .obj into dynamic cloth...

In it’s current form, all the polys are triangles. Let me know if that works for you. If not I’ll fix it before I upload.

Thank you so much but I don't aware of such kind of workings. I work with ds and cannot create cloths or do such kind adjustments. Thought it would be a complete product in daz or poser.

Unfortunately for you it’s a custom “one off” garment. I think Poser can do dynamic cloth from .obj files, though, so you could still use it...

At a high level, all you’ve got to do in Daz is load the desired model, set your animation length to 4-5 seconds, move the frame selector a couple seconds ahead (1-2 usually works well), pose your figure and export the figure and animation in a format Poser understands (or create and export just the pose in a format Poser understands). Then import the .obj into Poser, define it as dynamic cloth, start the simulation, and wait. Export the final frame of cloth animation from Poser to a Daz format. Import it into Daz for texturing and rendering.

You could save a lot of steps just by doing it all in Poser...

I hope my terrible and rushed tutorial was helpful! (and that Poser can still do dynamic cloth from .obj’s) :)

Thanks! It’s another I made in Marvelous Designer. It’s the same one in Seated Black Dress, just a different texture.
