Old Love Never Rusts

Graphite drawing I did today of a guy who's either a Viking or descended from Vikings (haven't decided yet). The Elder Futhark (i.e. Old Norse) runes spell out the Swedish idiom "Old love never rusts." Hope you like it!

I used a B3 pencil to shade the darkest part of the hair - gives you a lot more contrast and makes the hair look shiny.
I am not only Shining-Scribe but also Swedish-Scribe. I was never familiar with this idiom before but the poet in me is already in love. 
I just took the internet's word that it was a Swedish idiom, so I could be totally wrong 
We all know how (un)reliable the internet can be, haha. But I do love the poetic nature of it!
