This watercolour piece by Arleebean has been my absolute favourite piece of artwork ever since I saw it and remains so to this day. There's something captivating about it that I can't put my finger on. I've tried (and failed) many times to replicate it, and I've finally managed to make something that doesn't look horribly off. I do want to try a watercolour version of Arleebean's work as well. Perhaps in the future as a measure of my improvement.

I decided to play with lighting just so my version doesn't look exactly like the original, hence this. Hope you like it!

I really like your version too :D the light looks amazing and so does his facial features

- I think I have a weak spot for light haired angulary featured men <3

Thank you!! Yeah, I think I have a think for angular faces too, but half the time, I end up making them look cadaverous instead of striking ^^; Practice makes perfect, though!

I see no problem with that though XD

oh wow you really nailed their style!!! and the hairs absolutely gorgeous -- reminds me of our initial struggles with white hair, haha ;;;;; and the lighting is pretty!! suits the title ~

Thank you!!! Yeah, white hair isn't as much of a pain as it used to be - now it's black hair that I can't draw XD

HAH MOOD

though i found a solution by making the black actually a darkish purplish-blue and shade from there

Perhaps that works digitally, but not with watercolour -_- So I just make everyone's hair pitch black with no shading, lol XD
