Soraya of the Sow PoemSoraya of the Sow Poem
"I cut two on my way down. The punks don't waste much time on hand-to-hand. They break in small groups and break out the artillery.
I love this stuff. There's a flash as my knives come out...the three thugs don't even see that. Too bad.
Yes, I can bleed...and so can YOU!
The skirmish is over and I am still standing. My training has served me well...my family will be pleased.
The authorities close in. They will find only what is left of the dismembered corpses of those punks.
I do not wish to run away from what would be my allies, but I must. The rest of the village doesn't understand my methods.
I strike hard and fade away...into the night.
I am Soraya. I am swift, I am silent, I am deadly. I am Soraya of the Sow."
NewsPossible Hiatus-- Don't know how long it'll last
Taking a hiatus from dA. Tired of dealing with kids. Will be on Facebook.
Thinking of drawing Soraya in different cartoon styles and different stages of her life, even though she actually never grows up (oops SPOILER). I know it's been done before and I don't want to seem like I'm copying, but well… been practicing the Regular Show and Adventure Time style just to name a few so I thought it'd be an interesting experiment.
I might not post it to dA though I'll prolly just keep it to myself.
It's official. Soraya of the Sow will have a sequel. I already have a title: ''The Science of Sheep''.
Whereas the theme of SOS is Race, Civil Rights and the concept of ''Passing'', SOS Num. 2 will delve more into the familiar topic of Immigration and Assimilation.
Haven't been working on SOS art lately
HUGE ART SHOWCASE (and other random stuff)Yes, I'm back. Sorry I was gone longer than expected, but it was nice to get away from the computer and just focus on my health. I'm still really sick and undergoing MAJOR medical and psychiatric testing but well, I'll be able to access the computer now and pop in every now and then. I probably will continue to be semi-active, though. I have a lot of personal and health issues to take care of. I have been doing some drawing on the side of all this testing and my friend :iconcrippled-glass-wings: has been taking them home to scan and post them for me from her home. So I was not actually on-line but if you saw some recent uploads on either of my accounts, that was Shanti. I do have quite a few projects I started and need to finish but I am rather busy with taking care of my mental health at the moment so I guess when I'm feeling better I'll start updating my gallery again. I apologise for missing a lot. I'll try to catch up. But if you don't mind, I do need my rest, so I will most lik
