I have to say, the scenes from the first comic do look really good in your updated artstyle 😊. The lines are evidently more crisp and bold, and the shading/ color(s) look more clean. Same goes for how well the expressions are adapted here.
Interesting how Leo figured that accidental kiss being a first for Cass too at the time. It speaks true to how keen and observant he is. But that moment also became the catalyst to Leo beginning to reconsider the Foot Recruit as a person.
Admittedly, Leo's newfound impression of Cassandra does sound a bit radical following just that one kiss 😅. But it somehow manages to still work, seeing how it's a product of his bubbling feelings for her. Especially when we're dealing with a teenager's first crush, XD.
(In a sense, it's an aspect of Leo's hope for possibilities if he chooses to engage with these feelings)
I like how we got to see more into his own inner thoughts, and how they're practically whirling over that moment 😁. Ah, and I see some popping red flowers at the end there. I know where this panel is leading to 😏 🌺...
