Practice can be fun :D by SonicHearts Practice can be fun :D by SonicHearts
ah, and what it can do~

As so many know, I love Disney, especially its art style <3
I hope I can someday draw in that style.
What I love most about all the Disney arts and films--along with so many kinds of cartoons-- are the eyes.
When it comes to animation, the eyes are what I always look to. Always so full of emotion and as clear to the characters heart as a glass window.
I love it <3

I wish I could draw eyes like that.
I've practiced, still not even close, but I have been trying to get more close to a Disney-type-style. Still not there, since I still have that kinda mix of things in my lame little style, but I'm always happy when I see I do improve in things.

So, this started from, again, trying to get more of a Disney style kind of eye thing.... but, of course, my mind wanders and I break into a doodle XD

And THIS is what came out of it!
All but the shoes... I like it. The hands were murder *dies*

Hair was even a different kind of experiment, since I didn't want to really keep it anime-ish, though I still think it is.
The clothes I didn't want to be as flat either, but I still can't find myself pulling that off... especially with pants.

My goal with these practices is to expand styles that are not just anime.
More different cartoon styles and such.

Its always fun to play around with <3 : D

..I live the new style.

Hands are killers when it comes to drawing. But you did a great job on them here.

Ah! Those good old days when the sketch started with the eyes! XD Of course, mine was in a more Anime-ish style back then...
I have to say, you're pretty good. How long have you been drawing?

Mmmm... At leaaassstt... a little more then 2 years. At least when I started really wanting to draw seriously and improve(which started when I joined DA, mostly.) I did draw some time before that... but I can't call that old stuff 'art' or even an attempt at it XD some kind of alienish stick people and whatnot lol

Haha! Well, you're doing good! Took me about 7-9 years personally (Lost count, but it was from the point I seriously started drawing)

Hmm...not a bad attempt at a Disney art-style at all. The shoes look nice, but I also like the way you've done the clothes.

I'll agree with the hands and the hair, but otherwise, it's pretty good. Keep trying. ^_^

I am impressed Heather, that looks magnificent! I love it a whole lot. <3 Shoes could of use a bit more, but they look fine. I know you worked hard on this, and the effort was worth it. ^_^
