Zoids Wild Knuckle Kong

Here he is, folks: Knuckle Kong! Knuckle Kong is a medium sized Zoid that specializes in close range combat. Not only is it powerful in terms of brute strength, but it’s iron armor gives it a powerful defense against enemy attacks!

This was definitely a very interesting build, and much different from the model kits I’m used to building. Piecing this together and seeing how the mechanisms work was very fun, and I really dig the final result. 🙂 You start by assembling the skeleton under the armor, then add the armor on. Like most Zoids kits, this one is motorized, allowing it to actually walk forward! The movement motor uses one AAA battery (not included), and accessing the battery compartment is pretty easy, so changing the battery isn’t difficult. Besides walking, it has a second motorized gimmick where it can stand up on it’s hind legs and pound on it’s chest. While this is a really cool build, I should warn those thinking about investing in some Zoids that these aren’t made to strike poses. The articulation is strictly limited to what’s needed for it to walk and for it’s gimmicks. If you don’t mind this being mostly used for display, I say go for it if you’re thinking of picking some of these up. 🙂
