Description
This is something a bit different than my usual builds, but I wanted a good looking figure of Bumblebee from Transformers One, so I picked this Yolopark AMK Series model kit. Unlike Gunpla, where they’re full snap together builds, Yolopark kits come preassembled in parts, making them quick and easy builds for beginners. Don’t let that stop you from getting them, though. They make up for their low piece count with a spectacular level of detail and engineering. These are strictly robot mode kits, so they don’t transform, similar to the Blokees kits.
This is the cogged version of Bumblebee (the cogless version is sold separately), and has 30 pieces. He doesn’t include a display stand, but he does come with three pairs of interchangeable hands, a battle mask, a set of wrist blades (he has knife hands!), and a blaster cannon. The build is mostly very easy, and the articulation is really great.
As far as issues go, the only real Issue I have with this kit is to switch out the face plate with the battle mask, you have to remove the tiny flaps on top of the head, then the top half of the head. DO NOT just try to remove the top of the head! I did that, and those little flap pieces went flying. 😂 I almost couldn’t find them after that.
Overall, this is a quick and fun build, and the finished result is easily the best looking Transformers One version of Bumblebee on the market. This is definitely a must have for Transformers One fans and for people looking to try model building. 🙂
