Takara Tomy Zoids Wild Alpha Shadow

Alpha Shadow possess great speed and agility, but its most notable feature is the ability to perform two stages of Wild Blast. The initial attack allows the Zoid to move and exceptionally high speeds, while the "Second Gear" fires off sonic projectiles in all directions. Having both high speed, and an area-of-effect attack make the Zoid extremely potent in combat!

This is the Takara Tomy Zoids Wild Alpha Shadow (aka Hunter Wolf in the Japanese dub). I picked this up from the good folks at TFSource.com for $29.99, which is also what the Hasbro one retails for, so that’s a pretty good deal. Out of all the Zoids from this series I’ve put together, this is honestly one of my favorites. I did a fair bit of paintwork and panel lining to it looking anime accurate. I painted the teeth, some of the hoses and pistons on the legs, some of the vents, and the ears. You don’t have to paint them, but I did because I’m all about those extra tiny details. 😆 I absolutely love the look of this Zoid! I’ve always liked wolves, and I love the idea of a wolf Zoid. The only thing I don’t like about this Zoid is how stiff the walking motion is. Each leg is basically one piece, with the only actual articulation being in the paws. So when it walks, it just looks very stiff. I can let that slide, though, simply because of how awesome this Zoid looks. I definitely think it’s worth picking up if you’re a fan of Zoids, or even if you just want something cool to display. 😊
