SD BB Legends Knight Unicorn Gundam

This is the SD BB Legends Knight Unicorn Gundam. 🙂 This kit is from the BB Legends line, and offers a cool new take on the Unicorn Gundam. Now, anyone who looks at my Gunpla collection will tell you that the Unicorn Gundam is definitely one of my favorite mobile suits, and this SD kit caught my attention specifically because it has a transformation gimmick. That’s right, this kit can change from Unicorn Mode to Destroy Mode. Being an SD kit, the transformation is relatively simple, and really only consists of a handful of steps. The articulation is what you would expect from an SD kit, but with the benefit of bendable elbows. However, the arms are too tiny for it to matter too much XD. The articulation of the head gets a little obstructed by the helmet, and the panels on the arms severely limit the range of movement in the arms when in Unicorn Mode. There’s also a loose balljoint connecting the upper and lower body. While it’s not too big of a problem, as it’s very easy to just push them back together, it can get a bit annoying. All in all, it’s a neat little SD kit, and will display nicely in whichever mode you prefer. 🙂 If you’re a fan of the Unicorn Gundam or the BB Legends line of kits, then I recommend picking it up. It’s a fun little build, and looks great all put together. 🙂
