Re/100 Zaku II FZ

Here’s another one of the kits I’ve been meaning to post pictures of. This is the RE/100 Zaku II FZ. 🙂 I normally don’t buy the RE/100 kits, because up until only a few kits ago, they were just upscaled High Grade kits, but the newer ones have been engineered much better and have much better articulation and gimmicks. This one being no exception. This kit is vastly superior to the original High Grade 1/144 Zaku II FZ in every aspect. The articulation is much better, and the kit requires virtually no paint. In fact, the only area on this kit that needs paint, the thrusters on the bottom of the feet, are an unseen detail most of the time, so you can easily just skip painting those. The only parts of this kit that are hard to panel line are the yellow tube pieces. Unlike the original High Grade kit, the tubes on this one are made of a flexible rubber material, so filling in the areas between the tube links will be a time consuming process. They look pretty good even if you don’t panel line them. All in all, this is a pretty cool kit, and I do recommend it if you’re looking for a good looking kit of the Zaku II FZ to add to your Zeon forces. 🙂
