RG 1/144 00 Raiser

This is the Real Grade 1/144 00 Raiser. The 00 Gundam was one of the new Gundams deployed by Celestial Being in AD 2312, and the first mobile suit to feature the Twin Drive System that comprised two original GN Drives. The 00 Gundam was expected to have exceptional combat capabilities thanks to this immense amount of GN Particles. Unfortunately, the 00 Gundam was unable to stabilize the Twin Drive System by itself, and this also caused its GN Drives to overload when the Trans-Am System was used in battle. To solve these problems, the Celestial Being engineers turned to the 0 Raiser, a dedicated support machine for 00 Gundam that was also capable of docking with the Gundam to form the “00 Raiser”. In the 00 Raiser form, the 0 Raiser used its system to control and stabilize the 00’s Twin Drive System, leading to the full operation of the Twin Drive and safe activation of the Trans-Am System.

As far as Real Grade kits go, this one of the coolest looking in my mind. I honestly had a blast working on this thing! 😄 If you’re like me, and your favorite part of RG kits is doing the panel lining and applying the marking decals, this kit will keep you busy for a while. Between panel lining, assembly, and applying decals, this kit took me about a week to finish. This one comes with a ton of accessories, including the 0 Raiser, which does transform and combine with the 00 Gundam. This thing was a joy to build, and for the most part, is pretty solid as long as you use glue to secure the looser fitting pieces. The only real issue I found was that the waist joint is a bit loose. However, this can be easily fixed. In my case, I’m going to use my clear nail polish trick to make the ball joint fit better. And even if you don’t fix the waist joint, this thing is gorgeous once completed. 😄

All in all, this is one of my favorite RG kits I’d gotten to work on. The build is a lot of fun, and the finished kit looks fantastic. In fact, it kind of makes me want to try to find a Master Grade version. 😄 But yeah, this thing is absolutely stellar, and I can’t recommend it enough. 😄
