Here he is, folks! After a little over a two weeks wait, he has arrived! The "Transformers: The Last Knight" Premier Edition Leader Class Megatron figure! And he is awesome! I give Hasbro major credit for this figure, as it's a very close representation of Megatron in the movie, and is, in my opinion, the best looking Leader Class Megatron figure that Hasbro had released for the Michael Bay Transformers film line of toys and figures.
To start, I had to order mine all the way from China, so that why it took as long as it did to arrive. I still haven't found this figure in any of my local toy or department stores, so I don't know exactly how much he retails for. Being a Leader Class figure, though, I imagine he retails for somewhere between $45 to $60 (I'm only guessing here).
This was gotten for me as a birthday gift, and I cannot stop geeking out over how much I'm loving this figure!
There's a lot of really great detail put into him, even painted on weathering.
He also has a few cool gimmicks. A switch on the back of his head controls his battle mask (a very cool detail considering that Hasbro doesn't normally give you option to do that), and he has a transforming fusion cannon on his arm. For accessories, he comes with his sword, and two flame attachments that attach to his jet engines in his jet mode (you don't need to use them, they're just a cool option). You can also put one of the flame attachments onto the fusion cannon to turn it into a flamethrower.
The transformation of this figure isn't too hard, but it is a bit tricky until you get the hang of it.
I would recommend holding onto the instructions until you've mastered transforming him back and forth. Some pieces may pop off while you're transforming him, but they're designed so that they easily pop right back in. One thing that I'll say about this figure's vehicle mode is that it's pretty big in terms of length and wingspan. If you want to display him in his jet mode, you'll need a big space to put him. He takes up a lot less space in his robot mode.
All in all, this is one badass figure, and I absolutely recommend picking him up if you find him.
He displays really nicely, and makes a great addition to any collection.
There's a high demand for Megatron, so both the Voyager and Leader Class figures can be pretty hard to find in stock anywhere. And a lot of sellers online that have them want at least $20 or $30 over the retail price. I know a guy who got lucky enough to find the Voyager Class figure at his local Walmart, so they are out there. They're just very rare. If you spot one at any of your local toy or department stores, I would definitely suggest buying him.
