Description
This is the Master Grade 1/100 Char's Z'Gok Bandai model kit.
While I don't know too much background on the Z'Gok, I do know that it's an amphibious mobile suit, and that it looks cool. Seriously! These things are cool!
As is the case with all of Char's mobile suits, it has a paintjob consisting two shades of red and some black as well.
Anyway, I got this $36 from USAGundamStore, and I have to say, it's a neat kit to put together.
Its a bit of a step in a different direction to a lot of Master Grade kits we're used to building because how different the arms and legs are from most other Gundams. Despite being a Master Grade kit, this one actually isn't too terribly difficult. The only issue that I had while building mine was that the hands kept popping off when I tried to open or close the claws (I don't know if this an issue with all of these, or just the one that I got). So I ended up having to glue my Z'Gok's hands on. Other than that one speed bump? This is a pretty straight build. In total, this kit only took me four hours to assemble, which is a new record for me XD. But really though, it doesn't inner mechanisms that you have to build or anything. Don't let that keep you from buying this kit, because the build really is fun, and the kit itself looks really cool.
The articulation is a bit weird on the one. The hands, feet, and upper body all move really. However, looking at the way the arms and legs are built, you wouldn't think they moved much, but they actually do. By lightly pulling on each section of each arm and leg, they stretch out a tiny bit, which creates room for you to bend and pose them. The monoeye can also be moved my removing the top of the head, and the cockpit opens to reveal it's pilot.
All in all, this is a pretty cool kit, and a good choice if you're looking for an inexpensive Master Grade kit that still looks good.
