MGSD Wing Gundam Zero EW Version

This is the Master Grade SD Wing Gundam Zero (Endless Waltz version. :) This mobile suit comes to from the film “Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz”, and is piloted by Heero Yuy. Wing Zero was based on the Zero Frame technology developed by the five Gundam Scientists, which was an inner frame with all the necessary components for the mobile suit to operate, completely separate from the armor platings and energy conduits for weapons. The performance of the frame itself surpasses that of the Tallgeese, and the complete separation of armor and internal structure allows Wing Zero to continue fighting after losing up to 90% of its armor.

The MGSD line continues to impress me. This kit fixes some of my biggest issues with the original Master Grade version. Namely adding points to secure the Buster rifles in the hands, and replacing the soft plastic feathers on the wings with solid plastic ones. The detail on this kit is fantastic! And the improved engineering allows for increased articulation in the shoulders and hips, and not one, but two different bird modes!

For the most part, this is an excellently done kit. My only issue with it is the wings. They look fantastic, but they’ve can be a real pain in the next to pose. They also get in the way while you’re trying to pose the kit. To get around this, I just remove the wings, put the kit in whatever pose, then put them back on.

All in all, despite the wings getting in the way so much, this still a really well done kit! The detail, articulation, and gimmicks are all top notch, and definitely do the Wing Gundam Zero Justice. If this is your favorite version of the Wing Gundam Zero, I definitely recommend picking up this kit. 😄
