Knuckle Pound

When Knuckle Kong’s (aka Drags in the English dub) Dark Blast is engaged, it’s shoulders open to turn into large gauntlets. It then rapidly pounds on it’s chest, creating a level of intense heat that continues to intensify until it’s fists become glowing red hot. It then delivers devastating blows to it’s opponent until it smashes them to pieces!

I actually did some paintwork on this guy after seeing him in the anime to make him look more anime accurate. What I like about how Takara Tomy made this Zoid is that the chest pounding is an actual motorized feature that’s separate from the walking motion. This is done by a piece hidden under the armor between his shoulders connected to the motor. All you have to do is adjust the position of the arms and legs, and then it will do the chest pounding motion instead of the walking motion. I have to say, it’s engineered extremely well!
