Haropla

One of Bandai’s most recent lines of mini kits they’ve released are Haros. Refering to the line as Haropla (a spinoff of the word “Gunpla”), they come in several colors, and one (seen in this picture) even has cat ears. Each Haro has a set of arms and legs that can be attached, and the arms and legs store securely underneath the display base when you aren’t using them.
These kits have no sticker decals that need to be applied, and the runners are specifically designed so that the pieces can be easily popped out in order to eliminate the need for nippers. In other words, these Haros are perfect for beginners. You don’t have to panel line them, but they’ll look a lot better if you at do. These retail in Japan for ¥600 (about $6 USD), and tend to retail in the US for $5 to $7, making them very affordable. :3

I had told myself I was only going to get one of these, but it turns out that I lied to myself XD. I just had to have the Momo Haro (the pink one), and you can’t not but the basic green Haro (its a Gundam icon!). So I ended up buying two of these. I actually think they look really cute together, though. ^u^

The only odd thing about these is that on the box it says that they’re life sized, but if you’ve ever watched a Gundam anime series, you’ll see that Haro’s are actually much bigger. I’m pretty sure that a life sized Haro would be closer to the size of a beachball, so why Bandai is labeling these kits as being life sized has me pretty confused.
