HG 1/144 Zaku II FZ

This is the High Grade 1/144 Zaku II FZ. 🙂 I’m honestly not sure which Gundam series this particular Zaku comes from, to be honest. I just bought it because I love me my Zakus. 😆 Anyway, this is one of those kits you’re either going to like or hate after you build it. This kit uses the early construction techniques for High Grade Zeon kits, so the monoeye doesn’t move. It’s just a sticker, unfortunately. While I like the look of this one, I’m not crazy about the execution of it. The articulation in the neck is very minimal, and the hands you get with it are kind of strange because while you get a hand to hold the gun, that’s the only right hand you get with this one. For the left, you get the basic holding hand and open hand parts, but for the right, you only get that gun holding hand. This isn’t a terrible kit, it’s just not one of Bandai’s shining examples of a Zaku. It does come with two different heads, though, which is a something most Zakus don’t have. Usually, you just get the one head and then an optional command antenna, but this one actually comes with two different heads. So that’s a plus for this kit. All in all, this is an okay Zaku as long as you aren’t expecting too much from it when you buy it. I really only recommend picking this one up if you’re like me, and you’re a fan of just about any Zaku out there.
