HG 1/144 Strike Rogue

This is the High Grade 1/144 Strike Rouge. This kit comes to us from Mobile Suit Gundam Seed, and is piloted by the Princess of Orb, Cagalli Yula Athha. The Strike rogue was built using spare parts from the Strike Gundam that were produced while it was repaired at Orb. Strike Rouge is almost an identical copy of the original Strike Gundam and features the same weaponry as well as the ability to use the Striker Packs. The main differences between Strike Rouge and Strike is that the former is equipped with an AI support system and a power extender that increase the operational time, and is responsible for the red-shifting of the phase-shifted colors.

This kit is essentially a recolored copy of the 2014 High Grade 1/144 Aile Strike Gundam, so it comes with the same accessories. Besides the colors, the only other differences between this and the Aile Strike is that you get a set of marking decals, and you get a few extra pieces that belong to the Aile Strike Gundam. This isn’t a bad thing, though. This is a very well done kit! It’s easy to panel line, requires very little paintwork, and is a very straightforward build. This is an excellent choice for beginners.

This is one of those kits I had a hard time finding any flaws with. My only single issue with this kit is that the pieces around the ankles pop out really easily when you’re posing the feet. They pop back in easily, though. Overall, this is a really nice kit, and perfect for builders of all skill levels. If you’re a fan of the Strike Gundam, or you’re just looking for a fun kit to work on, I highly recommend picking this one up.
