HG 1/144 RX78-2 Revive

This is the HG 1/144 RX78-2 "Revive" Bandai model kit. This model is part of Bandai's "Revive" line, in which they reengineer and rerelease past Gunpla. I'm honestly not sure when the first RX78-2 model kit came out, but Bandai has released several different variations and special edition versions over the years. So I can't say exactly which RX78-2 this kit is a "Revive" of. Anyway, I have to be honest, I am loving this kit! The build is very simple, but this kit is still just so well made. And when you consider that this kit usually retails for $10 to $15 (I got mine for $11 on Amazon with free shipping), this is a really good quality kit. Very nice detail, really good articulation, and both easy and fun to build. The joints in the arms are a little tight, but it's not a serious issue. Not too long ago, I picked up the RG 1/144 RX78-2, and I have to say that I honestly like this HG 1/144 "Revive" version better. Not only is it a little bit taller than the RG one, it also doesn't have a lot of the issues that the RG one does. This kit is also really good for people who are only just starting to build Gunpla. It's easy, and fun to build, whether you're a beginner or an expert. I can definitely say that I recommend this kit. It pays great homage to the RX78-2, and will make a great addition to your collection. 😊
