HG 1/144 RX-78-2 Revive Clear Color Version

This is the High Grade 1/144 RX-78-2 Revive (Clear Color Ver.)! 🙂 The RX-78-2 is the granddaddy of all mobile suits, and no Gunpla collection is complete without at least one kit of this mobile suit. This one is a clear color version of the High Grade 1/144 RX-78-2 Revive, so everything about this kit is exactly the same, except for the pieces on this one being clear. This kit is an absolute delight to build and pose, and despite the simplicity of it’s design, it’s still one of my favorite kits that I own. 🙂 You don’t really need to do any painting or panel lining on this one, but I could resist at least panel lining the faceplate and painting the vulcans on the head. For the vulcans, I actually used a painting trick that I learned accidentally one time. I used Yellow paint without mixing it so that the paint would apply and dry transparent. This is a really good trick for painting clear colored pieces while still retaining the transparent look of the pieces. But yeah, this is a great kit, and if you’re a fan of the RX-78-2, I highly recommend one of these clear color variants for your collection. 😊
