HG 1/144 Moon Gundam

This is the High Grade 1/144 Moon Gundam. 🙂 This kit came out back in 2018, was praised by many builders as one of the best HG kits made. While I personally don’t consider it to be one of the best of all time, I will say it’s a pretty well done HG kit. 🙂 And unlike most HG kits on the market, this one comes with a full action stand to let you display this kit as soon as you have it finished. Now, I am going to warn that this kit comes with absolutely no sticker decals. This is great if you prefer to paint everything yourself, but bad if you count on a sticker for the eyes at the very least. But,, you do get two of the eye pieces so that if you mess up painting one, you have a backup one to work on. They eyes are a bit small, so painting around them can be tricky, but the end result is worth the effort. 🙂 For the best light catching results, I recommend painting the eyes using a metallic green Gundam Marker. That how I did it with mine, and it turned out pretty well. The build takes a bit of time, but the Real Grade engineering of the legs is pretty impressive to see on a HG kit. I love the design of this kit, and for the most part, it’s quite solid, but it does tend up wobble on the display stand because of how the stand pegs in to the mobile suit. I do recommend using the stand if you plan to display this kit, as the funnels on the back make this kit a bit back heavy. Overall, though, this is a really well done kit, and perfect for those looking to put their painting and panel lining skills to the test. 🙂
