Description
This is the High Grade 1/144 Immortal Justice Gundam. This mobile suit comes to us from Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom, and is piloted by Shinn Asuka. Using all previous operational data from the Infinite Justice Gundam, the unit was designed incorporating convertible technology acquired by Orb through the Murasame. It shares a frame with the Rising Freedom Gundam, as well as containing the same panoramic monitor cockpit and OS. Unlike its predecessors, the Immortal Justice Gundam is battery-powered, necessitating the use of various measures to conserve power for its energy-intensive loadout.
With the release of Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom comes a new line of kits from Bandai! Now, I’ve been seeing everyone talking about the HG 1/144 Rising Freedom Gundam, so I wanted to take a look at the Immortal Justice Gundam since not a lot of folks are talking about it. Needless to say, this kit did not disappoint me! The design alone is pretty awesome, but the range of articulation on this kit allows it to strike some pretty dynamic action poses! The color separation is pretty good, but there are a few spots that need paint, like the thrusters on the backpack.
In terms of issues, I had a hard time finding any with this kit. For sake of keeping my review unbiased, I’m not a bit fan of the flight form. I think the flight form looks kind of goofy, and that’s the engineering of the transformation seems a bit lazy for Bandai. Overall, though, this is a really great quality kit, and absolutely worth adding to your collection.
