HG 1/144 Heindree Strum

This is the High Grade 1/144 Heindree Strum. 🙂 This mobile suit comes to us from Mobile Suit Gundam The Witch From Mercury. Part of the Heindree Series, the latest all-purpose Mobile Suits produced by Grassley Defence Systems based on the Hein OS the Hendree Sturm is optimized for active combat. It is a 4th generation mobile suit and the new flagship model of Grassley having been significantly upgraded based on data and engineering expertise gathered from the production of its predecessor, the Heingra.

This is one of those kits that doesn’t have a lot of runners, but still comes together really nicely. I’ve always really liked the idea of the shoulder cannon idea, so this one that easily caught my eye. It also makes a good army builder, as well.
This definitely a pretty cool looking mobile suit, and definitely a fun build. Like most kits from this line, the color separation is stellar, and needs almost zero paint to get it looking how it does in the anime. The articulation is really good, letting this kit strike all kinds of great action poses. Honestly, the only problem I’ve found with this kit is that the shield has an annoying tendency to come off the arm while posing the arms. It’s not that big of a problem, though, since the shield clips right back on really easy.

Overall, this is a really nice looking kit, and is really well designed. This kit is a solid choice for both beginners and pros alike. If you like the soldier style mobile suits, I recommend picking this kit up. 🙂
