Description

This is the High grade 1/144 Gundam Schwarzette. 🙂 This mobile suit comes to us from Mobile Suit Gundam The Witch From Mercury, and is piloted by Lauda Neill. A mobile suit utilizing the "GUND FORMAT" technology provided by Prospera Mercury. The Schwarzette is a next-generation concept model, developed as a successor to the Darilbalde. The intention was to create a mobile suit with greater flexibility, adaptability, and mobility than the Darilbalde by further enhancing the AI control system. However, due to technical setbacks surrounding the AI control system, development was halted for a long period of time. The utilization of "GUND FORMAT" technology allowed development on the Schwarzette to resume, transforming it into a Gundam.

As far as kits In this line go, this may one of the most solid. Barely any glue is needed either this one because everything fits together so well. And the build was nothing but fun! 😄 What’s particularly interesting about this kit is that it uses a type of decal that I’ve never seen used on a Gunpla before. The pieces that make of the GUND-bits use these things called plastic decals. I had a bit of trouble them because this was honestly me first time dealing with these, but they were too hard to manage once got the hang of them. The articulation on this kit is absolutely stellar, and the number of action poses this thing can pull off are only limited to your imagination!

Like a lot of kits from this line, the Gundam Schwarzette has parts that are compatible with The Witch From Mercury display base (you’ll want to get two sets of the display bases just to be safe). I tried to find things to critique about this kit to keep my review unbiased, but I just couldn’t with this one. It’s just made that well! The only thing I wish had been done differently is that I wish that Bandai had included a hand for holding the sword at an angle. Overall, though, this is such a solid kit, and I can’t recommend it enough! 😄

Beautiful kit, I still need to get around to building it and the other mercury kits in my backlog.
