HG 1/144 Gundam G-Else

This is the High Grade 1/144 Gundam G-Else. 🙂 Now, I don’t actually know much about this mobile suit aside from that it’s from the Gundam Build Divers Breaker manga series, and that it was made using the Gundam G-Self as the base Gunpla of the build. I do know that I really dig the dark look of this mobile suit! Black and purple always look cool together. 😄

As far as the build of this kit goes, it isn’t difficult to assemble, but it does need a fair amount of paint to get it looking how it does on the box. It doesn’t come with a lot in the way of accessories, just the beam rifle, a beam saber hilt, and a beam saber blade, but it makes up for few accessories with a couple of gimmicks it has. Specifically that the arm weapons and feet can detach and act kind of like funnels. The only downside to that is that you need an action stand with very specific pieces to display the kit like that. If you want to display it with the weapons and feet flying, I recommend buying a clear action stand 5, as it has all of the pieces you’ll need.

The kit itself is mostly pretty solid, but there are a few bits you’ll want to glue down so they don’t fall off while you’re posing the kit. My only real issue with this kit, aside from having to buy a whole separate action stand to display it a certain way, is that the connection at the mid section feels kind of loose. Not so loose that it will fall apart, but loose enough to feel kind of flimsy. Overall though, I think it’s a pretty cool kit, and these darker looking mobile suits always score points with me. If you’re looking for something a bit different from the usual Gunpla builds out there, or you just want a cool looking kit to display, I’d say go ahead and pick this one up if you find it. 🙂
