HG 1/144 Gundam Aerial

This is the High Grade 1/144 Gundam Aerial. The Gundam Aerial comes to us from Mobile Suit Gundam The Witch From Mercury, and is the mobile suit piloted by the series main protagonist, Suletta Mercury. The joints and basic structure are similar to mobile suits made by other companies, and while it can be piloted by other pilots, its performance is greatly enhanced when Suletta pilots it.

While this kit was difficult to track down in 2022, it’s slowly becoming easier to find now. The color separation on this kit is nearly perfect, so even if you don’t use the stickers, you’ll have a really great looking kit once you finish this one. You get two sets of stickers so you can decide whether you want the GUND-ARM system to be activated or deactivated, and while the shield can separate and replicate the GUND-BIT gimmick, you near not one, but two of The Witch From Mercury display stands (sold separately) to display it with the GUND-BITs deployed.

The articulation is pretty good on this kit, but I find that the hands have a tendency to have trouble supporting the weight of the beam rifle. This is honestly my only issue with this kit. Everything else about it is pretty stellar for a High Grade kit, and definitely a great addition to any collection.
