HG 1/144 Gundam 00 Shia Qan[T]

This is the High Grade 1/144 Gundam 00 Shia Qan[T]. 🙂 This mobile suit comes to us from Gundam Build Fighters Try, and is piloted by Shia Kijima. An original Gunpla created by Shia Kijima based on the 00 Qan[T], the Gundam 00 Shia Qan[T] inherits the base design's high level of particle control capabilities and has high offensive and defensive capabilities. Unlike the team battle based, support type Gundam Portent used by Shia in the 13th U-19 National Tournament, the Gundam 00 Shia Qan[T]'s high attack power allows it to handle multiple opponents single-handedly.

The first thing I’m going to say about this kit is that for using an older 00 kit as the base, this is a surprisingly solid kit almost no paint work needed. That caught me by surprise, as I was afraid I was going to have to do a lot more paint work than I ended up doing. I ended up really enjoying this build. The build is very straightforward forward, and even if you don’t panel line it, it still looks quite sharp. What surprised me the most about this kit was the range of articulation. For using an older 00 kit as the base, the range of motion you get out of this kit is fantastic!

For the most part, this kit is pretty solid, and I had a bit of a hard time finding anything that I didn’t like about. The only thing that really annoys me is that the GN Binder over the left shoulder is constantly in the way when you’re trying to post the left arm. So you have to move it out of the way to pose the left arm, then move it back.

All in all, I found this to be a very enjoyable built. It looks great and the articulation insures that it can be displayed in almost any action pose you can think of. Whether you’re looking for a fun kit to build, or you’re trying to add to your Build Fighters collection, I definitely think that this kit is worth having. Especially for the low price point.
