Description
This is the HG 1/144 Dom R35.
As far as I know, the Dom R25 only appears once in Gundam Build Fighters Try, and that's in the final episode, near the very end. So there really isn't information that I can offer. As you can see, it uses the same color scheme and twin shield idea as the Gour R35, but this is because both the Gouf R35 and the Dom R35 were both built by Mr. Ral. The twin shields can be used for offensive and defensive purposes. They may look like ordinary shields at first glance, but don't be fooled! The Dom R35's twin shields can each transform and be used as either blasters or spiked gauntlets. This makes the Dom R35 suitable for both long and close range combat.
This is a pretty cool kit in my opinion.
It doesn't come with any sort of accessories other that one open hand piece. I don't count the shields as accessories because they're part of the Gundam itself (you can take them off, though). This build really isn't too difficult or time consuming, and it's a lot of fun to play around with.
I do a few small gripes with it, though. It's hard to tell, but the light blue on the spiked part of the shields, those are decals. I don't know why Bandai didn't just the light blue parts on those sections of the shields separate pieces that simply snap together (like they did with the Gouf Custom), but what are you gonna do, right? Also, the arms pop out really easily when you move the shoulders downward, which can get annoying when you're try to pose them. When you need to pose the arms, I find it easier to just pop them off, move them into whatever pose you want them, then pop them back it. It's not that big of a deal though. The arms still stay in on their own (unless you're moving them around too much). Now, do I recommend it? I actually do, yes.
It makes a fun addition to any collection, and it will really stand out with it's brilliant blue paintjob, spiked shields, and large size.
This is a pretty cool kit in my opinion.
