HG 1/144 Dagger L

This is the High Grade 1/144 Dagger L. 🙂 I don’t really know too much about this mobile suit other than that it’s from Gundam Seed Destiny. I believe this was one of the earliest Gunpla releases of 2021, and I have to say, I really like this thing!

The beauty is honestly in the simplicity of the build. Also, that it uses absolutely zero sticker decals. The color separation on this kit is practically perfect. There are a few small spots that need paint, but even if you don’t add paint and just panel line this kit, it looks fantastic. The build is easy and absolutely perfect for beginners while still being fun for more seasoned builders as well.
I had a pretty hard time finding any issues with this kit. It’s just that solid and that well done. That said, the shield attaches to the arm on a bit of a loose ball joint, so while the shield will usually stay on there in whatever position want it in, it does have a tendency to pop off easily when you’re posing that arm. The best way to get around this is to take the shield off the arm, get the arm in the pose you want, then simply pop the shield back on again.

Overall, this is a really nice High Grade kit. 🙂 Typically retailing for $15-$20, it’s an inexpensive, but fun build, that results in a very high quality Gunpla. This kit is fun for builders of all skill levels, and definitely worth picking up for your collection. 😊
