HG 1/144 Char's Zaku II Gundam Origins Version

I can't believe I didn't post this! I got this kit last month, but I guess I never got around to posting a picture anywhere besides Facebook. In any case, I'm sorry for forgetting to post it. So how about I make it up to you guys by talking about this kit right now?

This is the HG 1/144 Char's Zaku II Gundam Origins version Bandai model kit. I actually don't know much about the Gundam Origins series, as the episodes have been tricky for me to find any of, but I do know that the series has a pretty nice line of model kits. This here being one of them. They revamped Char's Zaku a bit for the series as you can see. Most of the design is still the same, but Bandai made this one a much deeper shade of red. Also, the spikes on the shoulder are a bit smaller than the previous version. Other than that, this kit looks almost exactly the same as the previous version of Char's Zaku that Bandai released. There are some key differences, some I like, and some I'm not too crazy about.
For what I like, I really like how much better the articulation of this one is than the previous version. You can get it into a lot more cool or dynamic poses thanks to the improved articulation. I also really dig this gigantic beam rifle that it comes with. It's a very Zaku looking weapon. As for what bugs me about it, the gaps between the arms, legs, and head are a bit wide, so the parts look unnaturally extended from the body. If you fiddle around with it a bit, you can cover that up though. All in all, its a pretty nice kit, and I do recommend it if you're looking for something cool to build, or if you're looking to add to you Zeon army.
